Band and Musicians
The band was founded in early 2022 by the brothers Thomas (e-guitars) and Andreas (e-bass guitar) Wulf, along with Frank Bormann (drums and percussion).
At the time, the idea was to try to generate a new instrumental sound within the rock music genre, inspired and influenced by many different styles, including industrial, psychedelic, alternative and gothic – and above all, a sound that comes straight from the heart.
After the early, successful rehearsals, we realised that the addition of a keyboard or synthesiser – whether in the foreground or the background of the sound – would be ideal for the musical style that we aspired to.
Some months later, as a result, we were joined by our good friend Oliver Lange, together with his keys and synths. Now we were four, and the line-up was complete: the band Rising Reluctance was born, along with our distinctive style of instrumental indie space-rock music.

Oli is an intuitive keyboard and synthesiser player with a gift for spontaneous ideas. In addition, his overall musicianship and his sharp ears for details are a great benefit to the band’s creative processes. |

| Frank is an experienced drummer with a faultless sense of tempo. He follows the principle of The Who’s legendary drummer Keith Moon: „A drummer doesn’t need to think about what he’s doing. He just does it“. |
